Local wellbeing business secures MSIF investment fund
A local wellbeing business has secured a loan worth £7,500 from the Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF), through a Startup Loans programme.
Mindfit focuses on improving the health, mind-set and performance of employees, by providing complementary therapies.
The company will be using the investment to fit premises in Queen Avenue in Liverpool City Centre.
Founded by clinical hypnotherapist and advanced reflexologist Nicola Forshaw, five complimentary healthcare professionals has been brought in to support the growth of the business.
Forshaw said:
“Forward thinking companies such as Google, Apple and AstraZeneca are incorporating mindfulness meditation training into their employee wellbeing programmes, believing that IQ alone doesn’t cut it anymore and staff need to have emotional intelligence and resilience in abundance to succeed in this ever demanding world we live in. We have had particular interest from law firms.”
MSIF’s Laura Moss added:
“Nicola has done her research and this shows that there is a huge market for complimentary therapies. Modern life can be very busy and stressful and I think many people would be receptive to finding a way to balance this.
“Businesses are also much more aware of their corporate social responsibility and investing in the welfare of their staff as they recognise that this also benefits the company. She is very passionate about what she does and we are very pleased to be supporting her.”
