Lucy in the sky with diamonds

To celebrate the 75th birthday of the late Beatles legend John Lennon, Hard Days Night Hotel is set to collaborate with Boodles to present an exclusive diamond showcase.

On Friday, October 9th, the ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’ pop-up event will dazzle guests at the prestigious Liverpool jewellers to commemorate his milestone birth anniversary.

Set to see the arrival of movers and shakers from across the city, the aptly named event aims to celebrate the momentous occasion in the signature extravagant style of the two brands.

Between 5.30pm – 7.30pm, guests will have the chance to browse Boodles’ impressive diamond collection, while being treated to a selection of canapés and cocktails provided by the hotel’s in-house eatery, Blakes Restaurant.

General Manager of Hard Days Night Hotel Mike Dewey said:

“To honour the late John Lennon’s 75th birthday, it felt only right to do something special. As a reputable jeweller established in Liverpool in 1798, an event to be held at Boodles was the obvious choice. We are thrilled to partner with the prominent luxury brand to bring the event just a stone’s throw away from the hotel, at the branch located on Lord Street.

“Following the recent acquisition of the hotel by Millennium Hotels & Resorts (MHR), the hotel is expanding its reach and teaming up with a number of other brands to highlight the best of Liverpool – we hope that this partnership is the beginning of many for Hard Days Night Hotel.”

In line with the opulent celebrations, Hard Days Night Hotel has collaborated with the Beatle Industry Group to offer a Commemorative Afternoon Tea package that will run between October 9-16. In addition to serving the signature light bites and hot beverages, the package will also feature two of John’s favourite sweet treats – Chocolate Cake and Brandy Alexander.

Mike added:

“We hope that the duo of birthday celebrations will rejoice the lasting legacy of the world renowned Liverpool icon and maintain the city’s admiration for a touch of Beatlemania!”

The Commemorative Afternoon Tea package is priced at £30 for two people and is served in the hotel’s Lounge & Bar.
