Major distribution agreement with China signed by Izzy Melody Ltd
Last Friday, 20th March, was the first day of Spring and a day to mark new beginnings. It was also the day that Liverpool-based company, Izzy Melody Limited, signed a major deal for distribution in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao.
Izzy Melody Ltd, producers of British-made baby care products, signed a deal with Idol Health Science & Technology Co, Shanghai at a ceremony held in the International Board room at The Liverpool Chambers of Commerce. The move is expected to see Izzy Melody take an important step into export, as they take their products to market in China.
The event was supported and attended by leading business representatives, including Jenny Stewart, CEO of Liverpool & Sefton Chambers of Commerce and founder of business accelerator program Spark Up; Gary Millar, cabinet member for business, investment and enterprise; and Jessica Zhang from CBBC (China Britain Business Council).
Izzy Melody Ltd has appointed Idol HST as exclusive distributor for their products in the territory as the company gears up to launch in Bejing at a major press conference later this year.
Idol HST were keen to get a foothold of the British manufacturing market and actively sought to recruit Izzy Melody as one of their core brands for distribution.
Izzy Melody design and develop innovative and supportive baby care products that are exclusively manufactured in Britain. They have gone a long way to ensuring the best quality and have have stringent ethical policies, giving new parents complete peace of mind when purchasing for their baby.
Their pioneering product was The Izzy Melody Baby Bangle – a multifunctional baby teether and soother made from a special, medical grade silicone that also helps support oral and motor skills; and is designed to give support throughout all stages from birth to toddler age.
The BabyBangle is already on sale in 9 countries and is stocked by leading UK retailers, such as John Lewis and Mothercare

Idol HST is registered in the Pilot free tradezone in Shanghai and has a registered capital to the equivalent of £10million, dedicated to bringing brands to market in China.
Chairman at Idol HST, Mr Ge, runs a number of other successfully businesses and is committed to supporting enterprise by working with young entrepreneurs. Through this he has established links with the Liverpool Universities and hopes to be part of the International Festival for Business 2016 to continue to build relationships in the city.
