Morecrofts’ practice manager makes partner
One of Liverpool’s most well known legal faces has made partner at Morecrofts Solicitors.
Julie Johnson, practice manager for Morecrofts’ six offices, has become Business Operations Partner after celebrating 20 years with the firm.
Julie joined Morecrofts in 1994 and by 1997 had become practice manager, gaining the CPD qualification as she worked. This year, Julie has completed a postgraduate certificate in Legal Practice Management at Manchester Metropolitan University, which she passed with merit.
An avid networker, Julie is well known among Liverpool’s professional community and is one of the founders of Morecrofts’ annual Merseyside Independent Business Awards.
Alison Lobb, managing partner of Morecrofts said:
“Bringing Julie in as a partner shows we have a clear focus on the future and that we recognise the value of the talent and expertise within Morecrofts. Our status as an Alternative Business Structure (ABS) means that we are able to welcome non-lawyer partners into the firm as business owners and Julie’s appointment as partner demonstrates our vision for the future of Morecrofts as a thriving business.
“Julie’s skills, tenacity, commitment and passion embody everything that Morecrofts stands for and we are truly delighted to welcome her in her new role as Business Operations Partner.”
Julie Johnson said:
“This year I’ve been with Morecrofts for 20 years so it’s even more poignant that being made partner coincides with such a significant anniversary.
“Morecrofts is a very special practice, not just because of its heritage and commitment to people and clients, but because it’s continually looking for ways to improve and innovate. It’s a real privilege to be made partner and to help steer the business forward.”
Julie is also leading Morecrofts’ high profile office move from Number 1 Tithebarn to Bruntwood’s Cotton Exchange on Old Hall Street, which will take place in the new year.
