New Brighton Seaside Festival to host four-legged fancy dress parade
Liverpool event-management company Orb Events has teamed up with Wirral Animal Sanctuary to present a canine fancy dress parade at the New Brighton Seaside Festival. Andrew Wright reports.
Taking place on Bank Holiday Monday on 29th May, the event will see north west pooches displaying their costumes at the festival in New Brighton, with prizes for the best dressed mutts.
Prizes include a photo shoot with The Flying Canadian Photography, a Doggy Spa Day (dog walk, bath and groom) with The Butler Did It Concierge Company, and a ‘Doggy Hamper’.
The ‘Doggie Fancy Dress Parade’ will take place from 2pm.
It costs just £2 to enter and proceeds will be donated to Wirral Animal Sanctuary.
The parade will be part of a three-day family event taking place over the Spring Bank Holiday (May 27-29).
The festival will take over a huge space in front of Fort Perch Rock, New Brighton Beach, Marine Lake and Promenade in New Brighton.
The first large scale seaside festival of its kind in the area, the weekender is the brainchild of Liverpool event management company Orb Events; the team behind some of the City Region’s largest festivals including the award-winning Liverpool Loves, Liverpool Pride, and Farm Feast.
The line-up consists of live entertainment, street food, chef demos, family activities and seaside-themed attractions.
The Festival begins at 10am each day from Saturday, May 27 to Monday, May 29.
The full programme of activities will be announced soon. A park and ride service will be available. For more information visit http://www.seaside-festival.co.uk/
