Nominations open for 10th First Ark Community Achievement Awards
First Ark, a leading social impact business in the North West, has announced that nominations for their 10th annual Community Achievement Awards are now officially open.
The awards ceremony is to be held at ‘The Venue’ in Huyton on Thursday 10th November. It is set to bring together the unsung heroes of Knowsley, and give them the opportunity to be recognised and celebrated for their achievements and contributions to the community.
The Community Achievement Awards were set up to give inspirational people and outstanding businesses across Knowsley the recognition they deserve. In total, 10 awards are up for grabs that will pay tribute to those that have a significant impact on their community without asking for anything in return.
Bob Taylor, Group Chief Executive of First Ark Group, said:
“We started these awards back in 2007, and we’re very proud to be launching nominations for our 10th First Ark Community Achievement Awards. People from Knowsley are known for always striving to help their communities. These awards will celebrate those people who go that extra mile and maybe don’t always get the praise and recognition that they deserve.
“All the team at First Ark work hard to enable people, places and organisations to flourish and these awards are the perfect way to thank those in our local community who are doing so.”
Nominations are being taken for the First Ark Community Achievement Awards across 10 categories: KHT Resident of the Year, Community Group/Organisation of the Year, Young Person of the Year, Creative Achievement of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Fundraiser of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Supplier of the Year and Unsung Hero.
Bob continued:
“We encourage anyone who knows someone outstanding – maybe a family member, friend or neighbour – who puts others first to nominate them for an award. This is the perfect way to thank them and show them how much they are appreciated.”
To nominate someone, email a brief description of who is being nominated and why to achievement@firstark.com by Friday 14th October, or call Helen Goodwin on 0151 270 7489. The shortlist will be announced on Wednesday 19th October, and the awards will be presented on Thursday 10th November at a ceremony at The Venue in Huyton.
