Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle launches pop-up healthy eating restaurant

Olympic medal winning gymnast Beth Tweddle officially opened the Fuel Station kitchen last week.

Fuel Station, the team behind the diets of celebrities including Alex Gerrard and Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan, held a VIP breakfast launch to showcase their healthy eating pop-up restaurant.

The company, which specialises in a range of meals, snacks and shakes to help people meet their health and fitness targets, have set out to prove that healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring by appointing Liverpool’s own Dave Critchley, Head Chef at London Carriage Works, to oversee a delicious new menu range.

The Fuel Station team will serve an array of nutritious dishes from their new venue situated on Button Street in the city centre.

The building, which houses Liverpool’s first fitness eatery, will be targeting those who are looking for a healthy alternative at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Former Apprentice star and Fuel Station director Kurt Wilson, who opened the restaurant with his brother Jay, believes that Liverpool has been waiting for someone to come along that can specialise in supplying healthy food and drink. He said:

“The pop-up will give us a chance to show what will be offered on our new ‘delivered diet’ launching December 1st, which a number of high profile people including celebrities and sports stars have already pre-ordered.”

Mr Wilson was delighted with how popular the menu was with those who attended the launch.

He added:

“The team are really pleased with how it went. The protein pancakes seemed to be in high demand as well as our healthy detox juices. However, I think Beth’s favourite was the protein porridge!”

The restaurant will be open Monday – Sunday 08:00am until 18:00 pm
