After completing the second 28,000 sq ft phase of its 98,000 sq ft commercial development in Wirral developer Redsun secures two new tenants for the site. Tony McDonough reports

Redsun Projects says its has secured two tenants at its newly-completed 98,000 sq ft commercial scheme at The Croft retail and business park in Bromborough in Wirral.
Earlier this year Redsun announced it had completed the second phase comprising 28,000 sq ft. Now Goodyear Tyres UK (trading as HiQ Tyres & Autocare) has taken a 4,000 sq ft unit and Easy Bathrooms has signed up to 5,700 sq ft.
Both have agreed 10-year leases. These deals leave four units available. Built by Portal Construction (NW), the second phase delivered six units.
Completion of the second phase follows the successful delivery of phase one in 2024, which provided around 70,000 sq ft of new commercial space across a series of industrial and warehouse units.
This initial phase attracted strong occupier interest and was fully let shortly after completion by occupiers Shurgard Self Storage and Medequip. Gastronomy Properties have also developed a Starbucks and Wendy’s drive-thru under their UK franchise.

Spanning five acres, the site was acquired from Homes England and forms part of Redsun’s wider strategy to regenerate and unlock strategically located commercial land across the North West.
Mark Diaper, director at Legat Owen, joint agents for the scheme with B8RE, said: “Following the success of phase one, with high-profile companies choosing this prominent location to do business, this second phase at The Croft is another important milestone for the project.
“Both of these pre-lets represent new locations for HiQ Tyres & Autocare and Easy Bathrooms.

“The market remains strong with minimal stock available on the Wirral. The new Starbucks and Wendys operating adjacent have provided excellent amenities that draw in both businesses and customers to the area.”
The Croft is located close to the A41, providing connectivity across the Wirral and into Liverpool. Fletcher Rae Architects was appointed as architect with Langton Development Services acting as project manager.
