Industrial property specialist Redsun Projects has sold phase two of a Liverpool city region trade counter development totalling 50,396 sq ft. Tony McDonough reports

Redsun Projects has sold phase two of its 50,396 sq ft Knowsley Hub development to engineering sector supplier JR Webster.
Knowsley Hub occupies a prime position within Knowsley Industrial Estate and was acquired from Knowsley Borough Council in 2021. Redsun redeveloped the site in two phases. It has retained ownership of phase one.
Now North Wales-based JR Webster has acquired phase two, which totals 14,000 sq ft, for an undisclosed sum. The firm is a supplier of hardware and engineering tools, operating from a network of nine depots.
Nick Wightman, director at Redsun Projects, said: “Having taken the decision to build the second phase speculatively, we’re very pleased to see J R Webster acquire the property and expand its operations across the region.
“This scheme is an exemplar of what can be achieved when you have a proactive council on board that can see the value in high quality commercial development, creating further investment and jobs for the area.”
Knowsley Hub is an established trade counter development which is already home to established occupiers including South Coast Insulation Services, Howdens and Sterling Plastering.
Alex Perratt, associate partner at B8, joint agents for the scheme with Avison Young, added: “This was a superb deal for all involved.
“We engaged with J R Webster from early stages of construction and are pleased to see them acquire a new unit on the estate reinforcing commitment to the location.
“The scarcity of high-quality trade units available for sale was reflected in the values obtained. Redsun are due to imminently complete the construction of Hub 50 a new 50,000 sq ft unit which forms the final phase of development.”

Last week LBN revealed that Redsun was set to begin construction on phase two of its 70,000 sq ft Croft Trade Park in Bromborough in Wirral. It has secured a letting on a 14,852 sq ft unit in phase one to medical products supplier Mediquip.
This letting has paved the way for phase 2 with construction on site which extends to 27,306 sq ft across six units and will be available from the final quarter of 2025.
