Sefton Council is seeking pop-up food and drink vendors for this summer

Sefton Council is seeking pop-up food and drink vendors for multiple coastal locations in the borough.

It wants to enhance the experience for people visiting its beaches and seafronts ahead of the summer season. It has launched a tender process to expand the popular coastal concessions into longer term arrangements.

The council is seeking tenders to provide a range of pop-up food and drink concessions at Hall Road Car Park in Crosby, Marine Drive in Southport, and Shore Road at Ainsdale beach.

Cllr Ian Moncur, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing, said: “We feel that there is a market for good quality food and drink offering as visitors continue to return year on year to our beautiful coastline.

“Previous concession trials have proven how initiatives such as this help create jobs and offer a boost to the local economy as well as enhancing our visitor attractions, complementing our longer-term vision to get the right offer for everyone while protecting our special landscape.”
