Signature Living will open its £10m Dixie Dean Hotel in Liverpool city centre on July 12  and has released new images of how it will look.

The hotel is located in a former office building in Victoria Street and is themed around the legendary William Ralph ‘Dixie’ Dean, who scored  349 goals for Everton in 399 appearances from 1925 to 1937, including 60 in one season. Birkenhead-Born Dean also played for Tranmere Rovers.

Offering 100 rooms, the Dixie Dean Hotel will face the Shankly Hotel, named after Liverpool’s former manager, which has been put up for sale by Signature along with its 30 James Street Hotel.

The first phase of the hotel development will open with a party in Liverpool on July 12 with a promise of famous faces from the world of sport and entertainment. It will include the 160-cover “No.9” restaurant, named after the shirt number worn by the much-loved football hero. The hotel will also include a bar and function suites for football-inspired weddings.

Images released by Signature Living give a first-look inside the hotel bedrooms and showcase the hotel’s restaurant area.  Vibrant colours – including Everton’s royal and aqua blue – feature throughout the interior with deep luxurious upholstered chairs, sofas and fabrics.

Signature Living founder Lawrence Kenwright said: “The Dixie Dean hotel is a  modern boutique style hotel which not only celebrates Everton Football Club and Dixie Dean, it also embraces the iconic past and grandeur of the Grade II-listed building in which we’re opening it.

“A great deal of care and attention to detail has gone into making the most of the existing rustic furnishings but we’re also incorporating memorabilia and artefacts from Dixie Dean’s football glory days.

“The Dixie Dean, just like the Shankly Hotel, will become landmark destination in Liverpool and add to the city’s vibrant hotel and tourism offer. We’ve already got a huge waiting list of people who want to hold weddings and events at the hotel.
