A firm the provides specialist technical and engineering consultancy, services and testing for the UK space sector is adding eight new staff to its team.

Based at Birchwood Warrington, ESR Technology also provides services for the oil and gas, utilities, industrial and transport sectors and employs technicians, scientists, engineers, consultants and support staff, operating out of offices and labs in Warrington, Oxfordshire and Aberdeen.

The newly recruited scientists and engineers will play an important part in taking forward ESR’s future, as the business continues to develop and grow to help its customers resolve their often complex and important technical issues.

They will work across all of the major disciplines and specialities of the business, which include space and vacuum tribology, safety and risk management, non-destructive testing (NDT) and industrial tribology and materials engineering.

Last year ESR, which hosts the National Centre of Tribology (NCT), celebrated its 50th Anniversary and announced a new collaboration with The Henry Royce Institute.

Simon Griffin, business director space and CMO at ESR, said: “Our recruitment drive has been to take the business forward for another generation and we are delighted with the calibre of the new members of our team.

“ESR Technology’s heritage dates back 50 years, but our vision is firmly fixed on the future and the new members of the team are here to safeguard that. We are still recruiting and would be delighted to hear from talented engineers and scientists interested in joining our dynamic company.”
