Peter Johnson-Treherne from Royal Liver Building 360 said: “We’ve had suggestions covering Brexit, Black Lives Matter, the US presidential election, Liverpool winning the premier league, Everton’s best ever start to the season and the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
“Of course, we’ve had lots of ideas remembering the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the heroics of our frontline workers. Ideas have been flooding in. The time capsule will mark the closing of one decade and the opening of a new one.
“It will commemorate what has been one of the most significant years in world history. There is still time to submit ideas but we need to receive them by midnight on December 31.”
Liverpool schools and members of the public are being encouraged to submit ideas for the Capsule of Culture by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and those submitting ideas should include their contact details.
