Travel giant Thomas Cook is to offer package holiday flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) from 2019 – the first time it has used the airport in more than a decade.

The company will offer eight holiday destinations from summer next year to Lanzarote, Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca, Majorca, Algarve, Naples, Dalaman and Larnaca. People can book now to travel between May and October 2019.

They include flights with easyJet and holidays are available to a range of Thomas Cook’s own brand hotels, including hotels from the Sunprime, SENTIDO, Sunwing, smartline and SunConnect ranges.

Chris Mottershead, Thomas Cook UK managing director, said: “We’re always looking for ways to make going on holiday easier and are excited to once again be offering Liverpool to our customers in the north west who want to get away from their local airport.”

Declan Maguire, aviation development manager at LJLA, said: “We are delighted that Thomas Cook and their flying partner, easyJet, will be offering passengers in the North West the opportunity to purchase quality package holidays to a selection of the 65+ leading destinations served from Liverpool.”
