Trattoria 51 is set to open its doors this Christmas Day to serve up a yuletide feast with a difference.

The eatery, located on Old Hall Street, has unveiled its aptly named and priced ‘Christmas Day 51 Special’ menu – an eclectic offering inspired by traditional festive cuisine with a contemporary Italian twist.

General Manager of Trattoria 51 Toni Karemanaj said:

“We are delighted to be opening our doors on Christmas Day for the first time. Year on year we have received an amazing response to our seasonal party menu so we decided to expand our offering to create an all-encompassing festive experience at the restaurant. Our Christmas Day 51 Special menu, priced at £51, is perfect for families throughout the city of Liverpool who’d like to enjoy the big day without the worries and stresses of cooking and of course the washing up!

“On the day, our team of chefs will be delivering an indulgent authentic three course menu featuring a selection of one off and exclusive dishes. We have also curated a selection of delectable appetizers, devised with sharing amongst family and friends in mind.”

To follow the sharing appetizer dishes, guests will be treated to a choice of scrumptious starters including seared king scallops wrapped with speck ham, Greenlands prawn cocktail and avocado, walnut and stilton salad.

For the main course, diners can choose from tempting options including Scottish beef fillet steak rossini, grilled seabass fillet with crashed new potatoes and home-made goats cheese sun dried tomato ravioli. Desserts include sweet selections such as zuccotto panettone with amaretto, crème anglais, chocolate sauce and coconut flakes, Christmas pudding and brandy sauce and artisan cheese and biscuits.

The Christmas Day 51 Special menu is served exclusively on Friday, December 25 and is priced at £51. A suitably proportioned children’s variation is priced at £21.
