Isobel Dawes, Samantha Smith and Emily Chapman-Roe from St Julie’s will be collaborating with Kier Construction on a six-month project as part of a UK engineering education scheme.

Three Year 12 students from St Julie’s High School in Woolton, South Liverpool, have been selected to join a recently-launched UK engineering education scheme.

Isobel Dawes, Samantha Smith and Emily Chapman-Roe will be collaborating with Kier Construction on a six-month project surrounding the demolition of St Julie’s vacated buildings on the current site in preparation for the new build due to be completed by September.

The new school building will include a dance studio, gymnastics suite, chapel, performing arts theatre and astro-turf sports pitches.

Headteacher Tim Alderman said: “The pupils have been chosen from a wealth of talent at our school and we are very proud of them.

“We are all getting really excited as we approach nearer the time of the completion, too.

“It has been remarkable to see how Kier, using state of the art technology, has enabled the new school to be developed as we continue into spring/summer term without fuss or interruption.

“The new facilities will be a huge improvement – it will look fantastic.”
