Britain will celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne this summer with a special Bank Holiday to mark the Platinum Jubilee.

And Merseyside brand marketing specialist Wild Thang is gearing up for the celebrations at the beginning of June by offering a range of Jubilee merchandise. The official branding of the Jubilee is free to use for all activities associated with the event’s celebrations.

Based in Bootle, Wild Thang employs 45 people, with more hires planned later this year. It has shrugged off the effects of Brexit and the pandemic to push on with an expansion of its business, investing in excess of £2m to transform its headquarters, buy new machinery and grow its team.

The business manufactures and supplies a full range of branded marketing materials. Its blue-chip clients have included Sky Bet, Paddy Power, Wembley Stadium and Liverpool and Everton football clubs. Managing director Andrew Dwerryhouse founded the firm 25 years ago with a £1,500 Prince’s Trust grant.

Speaking about Wild Thang’s Platinum Jubilee push, Andrew said: “This year marks a special date for the royal family, the nation and especially for Her Majesty the Queen. The extra Bank Holiday gives us all a chance to wave our flags, pop the bunting up and celebrate this historic event.

“Wild Thang will be holding our own Platinum Jubilee celebration party this month. We are gearing up to provide commemorative promotional products with the Jubilee branding. We can provide dual branding with along with those of our clients. This could include selfie frames, printed coins, bunting, books, pens, sweet treats and much more.

“We can offer branding on any of our products listed on our site and anything you can possibly think of to celebrate the event. There truly is no excuse not to get involved and kit out the office, treat your staff or even use this opportunity for corporate gifts. We truly have everything you need to get you prepared for the occasion.”

In March, Wild Thang announced it was stepping up its international operations by opening a new base in the Republic of Ireland. This new entity will sit inside the customs union and single market, offering friction-free trade with the rest of the EU.
