Wirral transformational mind coach and therapist, and LBN contributor Alison Blackler is to co-host a workshop this spring on “how to unlock your dreams”.

Held in partnership with Annie Lawrenson at Wirral Chamber of Commerce between 10am and 4pm on April 20, the event is titled ‘Unlock your dreams – The Power of a vision board and your future’.

Vision boards are a modern manifestation tool combining concepts taken from creative hobbies like scrapbooking with motivational mind-mapping techniques. Alison describes it as being “like a treasure map”.

It is a collage of pictures, phrases, poems and quotes visually represent what you would like to experience more of in your life.

The idea behind this is that when you surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have, where you want to live, or where you want to vacation, your life changes to match those images and those desires.

The creative process will also help you to:

  • Understand what beliefs could sabotage your success
  • Explore your fears and challenge your own thinking
  • Build your confidence and self worth as your dare to dream
  • Learn how to visualise your future and the neuroscience of how to use the vision board

Alison, who runs coaching and therapy business 2minds, says: “Science has finally been able to provide us with an explanation of how our brain prefers images and that the human capacity for imagination not only shapes our minds but also weaves the fabric of reality itself.”

Alison has written a number of articles for LBN on subjects including ‘the art of saying no’ and ‘how to get a good night’s sleep’.

Cost of the workshop is £95 per person, if booked before February 8, and £120 thereafter, with the event being limited to 15 places. See the 2minds Facebook page to register your interest.
