How Bridging Finance Solutions in Wirral will look after a £2m investment

Bridging Finance Solutions (BFS) will upgrade its Wirral office in a £2m expansion and will create 17 new jobs.

Based in Wallasey, BFS offers short term bridging finance to developers and investors looking to move quickly on deals. Now in its 18th year, the firm plans to add another 17 people to its existing team of 25. This will include five apprentices.

It will remain in its original headquarters in Wallasey Road and is acquiring, demolishing and developing adjacent properties alongside reconfiguring the existing buildings.

BFS managing director Steve Barber said: “We are seeing a compound year on year growth of an average 25%. Inevitably, we are beginning to outgrow our original home as we build our team to meet demand.

“We took the decision to stay within our original base and invest into our local economy rather than relocate to another business location.

“In doing so, we are keeping our business local, we are sustaining employment retention whilst creating professional job opportunities and will continue to recruit locally moving forward.

“This is the largest office investment this town has seen for decades and is of huge importance to the local business community and wider community.”

Steve added: “This is a project that we’ve been working on now for over two years and has involved extensive consultation, design and planning to make it the right fit for the business and the area.

“We’ve worked closely with the local council planners who have supported us throughout, welcoming the opportunities this investment brings. This is a really exciting time for BFS. We’ve worked incredibly hard to get to the position we are in now.”
