National security provider Copeland Group Services aims to double in size over the next three years and has announced a six-figure investment.

Bromborough-based Copeland provides security services to clients across the country including security guards, mobile patrols, CCTV monitoring, access control and key holding and alarm response.

This latest investment is into its in-house digital division, TrakNet Technologies. This has created a suite of digital innovations. These power everything from CCTV monitoring and access control to workforce management and business intelligence.

At the centre of the TrakNet platform is TALIUM which stands for Tactical, Adaptive, Logical, Intelligent, Unified Manager. It is a voice-activated AI assistant that enables staff and management to interact directly with Copeland’s business data through conversation.

TALIUM provides access to information including live operational performance, workforce scheduling, financial and customer relationship data, and vehicle tracking. By interacting with it in the same way as voice-controlled assistants such as Siri and Alexa, users can receive instant responses drawn from across the business.

It consolidates data from customer relationship management, operations, finance, communications, key and vehicle tracking and workforce management into a single system, providing real-time oversight across multiple sites and service lines.

Another element of the TrakNet ecosystem is Copeland Connect, the company’s dedicated workforce app for site-based and mobile patrol staff, which is integrated into TALIUM.

It supports functions such as clocking in, facial recognition, holiday management, incident reporting and lone worker check-ins.

The app also enables staff to conduct vehicle checks, raise SOS alerts directly to the control room, access guidance, view company updates and order uniforms, while supporting staff wellbeing through hydration and activity reminders.

TrakNet VMS is Copeland’s remote monitoring system, currently overseeing more than 7,000 CCTV cameras, intruder alarms and fire systems at sites across the UK from its control room in Bromborough and a facility in Stockport.

The suite of TrakNet innovations is rounded off with SmartLock, an app-based access control system linked with the company’s camera technology.

Kyle Disley, chief executive of Copeland, which currently turns over £6m a year, said: “As the business grows, we need systems that scale with it. TrakNet is our answer to that challenge and sits at the very core of our strategy.

“It’s technology we have developed and built ourselves, tailored precisely to what we do and what our clients need. It keeps us ahead of the curve, improves efficiency for our teams and futureproofs the business as we expand, both in the UK and internationally.”
