Liverpool city region HR tech firm Lavasource has expanded its global footprint by opening its first office in the US.
Based at Sci-Tech Daresbury, Lavasource supports HR departments with digital transformation projects and operates what it claims is the world’s largest dedicated ‘talent marketplace’ for HR and HR tech.
It already has bases in Canada, India and Mauritius and is now opening an office in Wilmington in the east coast state of Delaware. The venture already has clients in the US and says this move will allow its team to service them better.
“This is a natural next step in our journey,” said Mark Brooks-Lewis, founder, owner and chief executive of Lavasource.
“North America is where many of our clients are headquartered, where much of today’s technology innovation is happening and where we’re seeing the fastest growth in demand for our services.
“Establishing a local presence allows us to better support our clients and partners, deepen relationships and deliver greater global impact.”
According to Companies House, Lavasource was incorporated in 2020 and has seen significant growth in the past couple of years. Its most recent accounts show annual revenues of £2.1m and pre-tax profits of £276,184.
Although Lavasource extended its accounting period by two months to March 31, 2024, this was still much higher than the £197,000 revenue and £22,298 pre-tax profits reported for the previous year. Employee numbers went from three to 15.

Lavasource says it has successfully delivered large-scale transformation projects in more than 70 countries, supporting clients across a diverse range of industries.
With a dedicated office now in Delaware, Lavasource is positioned to deliver a full suite of services across the region – from strategic advisory and seamless integration to ongoing support and change management.

“Their growth is a powerful reflection of what Sci-Tech Daresbury is all about – creating an environment where innovative companies can thrive, scale globally, and realise their full potential.”
