City region firms make ‘fastest-growing’ top 10
Four firms from in an around Liverpool city region make the top ten in a league table of the fastest-growing companies in the North West

Flights wholesale specialist Lime Management, liquid fuels supplier ESL Fuels, Cavern owner and tours specialist Cavern City Tours and energy retrofit firm Next Energy are named among the North West’s fastest-growing companies.
The Fastest 50 list, compiled annually by leading law firm Ward Hadaway, highlights the most successful and dynamic companies across the North West.
Lime and ESL, both based in Ellesmere Port finished second and fifth respectively, Liverpool-based Cavern City Tours was seventh and Next, located in Prescot was in ninth place.

Founded in 2016, Next Energy Solutions has grown rapidly to become a leading provider of solar PV and renewable energy systems across the UK.
Cavern City Tours was founded by Ron Jones, Gerry Murphy and Bill Heckle in 1983. It owns and operates a number of venues under the Cavern brand including the original Cavern Club, pub, live lounge and restaurant. It also offers tours to Beatles fans from all over the world.
