Crewe-based business County Insurance is opening a new site in Liverpool, saying expansion is due to the increasing demand for its insurance products.

The office will constitute a new brand imprint for County Insurance and will be led by Phil Staford, who has been on the company’s senior management team for nearly eight years.

County Insurance have recently recruited an additional 20 staff, with plans to take on another ten “new starter” employees as part of their future growth plans.

Managing director of County Insurance, Kevin Catterall, said:

“Our ambitious growth plans mean that we’re always on the lookout for talented and ambitious people but this is new territory for us in terms of the number of jobs that have been created.

“For me, creating new jobs is an extremely rewarding part of running a successful business, especially given the challenging economic climate that we’ve faced in the area over recent years.

“The new Liverpool office is a tremendous and exciting opportunity to strengthen our high level of service to clients in the Merseyside area and to allow us to strategically expand. We already have a strong customer base throughout the North West and now is the right time to expand to the city area.”
