Dutch inspired bar pops up in Liverpool

Liverpool bar and restaurant impresarios Matthew Farrell and John Ennis have launched a new pop up concept in the city called Keuken.

Pronouced Koo-Ken, which is dutch for kitchen, its home is located via intercom entry only at 83 Seel Street in between their popular Salt Dog Slims and Slims Pork Chop Express venues.

Farrell said:

“The bar takes its inspiration from the infamous brown bars of Holland, which gets its name from years of smoking regulars staining the walls.”

Keuken runs until February 29th and is the result of a collaboration with drink giant Diaego focusing around Ketel 1 Vodka and Jenever, a dutch style of gin.

The bar is open Monday – Wednesday from 6pm til 2am and offers a relaxed place to chill out with dimly lit lights, dark wood and vintage style chesterfield couches.
