Fall in love all over again at Trattoria 51 this Valentine’s Day

Trattoria 51 has unveiled its special ‘Sharers Menu’ ahead of Valentine’s Day celebrations.

Lovingly crafted by head chef Gigi Sedda, the exclusive four-course menu has been devised with couples in mind and will offer a selection of delectable delights, which are perfect for sharing.

He said:

“Valentine’s Day is all about spoiling the one you love and what better way to do so than with a romantic meal? To make the day that little bit more special, the idea is to create a menu that features classic Italian favourites in a novel way, as each course will be served as sharing platters for two.”

On arrival, couples will begin their evening with a selection of Amuse Bouche to share before being served starters such as Parma Ham with Asparagus Vinegrette and a Light Potato, Peas and Carrot Salad; King Scallops wrapped in Speck Ham, Leek Puree and Crusty Bread, in addition to Buffalo Mozzarella with Sicilian Caponata and Sweet Balsamic.

The main course will consist of a series of meat and fish dishes including Fillet of Beef Mignon Rossini with Grilled New Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables; Homemade Smoked Salmon with Mascarpone Ravioli, Prawns and Dill Cream Sauce, as well as Vegetable Risotto with Asparagus and Grilled Goat Cheese.

Diners will then be treated to an indulgent dessert platter, which will feature an assortment of homemade cakes, pastries and ice creams.

To accompany their feast, guests can also enjoy an exclusive Valentine’s Cocktail, appropriately titled Filtro D’amore (Love Potion). Served at the venue’s new Prosecco bar, the red fizz-based cocktail blends together Daiquiri Sbagliato with Bacardi, Prosecco and strawberry puree.

Gigi added:

“As well as serving themed food and drink, we hope to create a truly romantic dining experience by providing the perfect setting for an intimate meal for two. The aim is to bring a true taste of Italy to Liverpool for the ultimate Valentine’s celebration.”

The Valentine’s menu will be available on Saturday, February 14 and is priced at £19.95 per person between 5-6:30pm and £29.95 from 6:30pm. Limited tables remain, therefore reservations are strongly recommended.
