Photography studio McGillicuddy & Associates is leading a national campaign to take portraits of families and raise money for NHS charities.

The Widnes-based businesses is a prime mover behind the Photographers without Frontiers initiative which aims to say ‘thank you’ to the NHS for its efforts during the coronavirus epidemic.

Launched by Ronan Ryle and internationally renowned photographer, Damian McGillicuddy, Photographers without Frontiers sees more than 100 photographers from all over the UK come together to offer families a chance to capture a precious image of their loved ones.

Damian said: “We wanted to give something back to the NHS and show our appreciation to them for not just what they have recently done for the country, but what they have been doing for us over the past 70 plus years.

“We are asking people to make a minimum donation of £10 through our just giving page to the ‘NHS Charities Together’ and in return they will receive a voucher from us which entitles them to free portrait session with us and a web image for them to use saying they have supported the NHS.

“I think now, more than ever, we see the value and importance of capturing special moments of our loved ones, family, pets and children, which is why we thought as photographers we should all come together in what is a very competitive industry and make a difference to a special charity.

“We also want to give something back to the communities in which we live and work, along with raising these vital funds for the wonderful work that the ‘NHS Charities Together’ carries out.”
