KIND spread festive cheer to Merseyside children
Local children’s charity, KIND, has been spreading Christmas happiness to children across Merseyside.
More than 1,300 hampers are being delivered to unlucky children and their families to help to bring a smile to faces and make the Christmas season brighter.
The hampers are full of festive treats and essential items which many families may not be able to afford this festive season.
A selection of toy hampers are also be sent out to children in need in Merseyside.
KIND, which is a lottery funded charity, assists around 15,000 children each year through partnerships with local schools, education organisations and other agencies. Located off Hope Street, the charity offers learning and skill development opportunities for children all year round.
KIND’s headquarters also include an inner city garden resource, which the charity transformed from a derelict urban site into a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly, multi-purpose education and community resource.
Founder and Chief Executive of KIND, Stephen Yip said:
“Christmas is a time for sharing and no child should go without a present this year. We rely solely on the kindness and goodwill of the people of Liverpool whether it is through donations or volunteering.
“I would personally like to thank everyone who has supported us this festive season and for playing a key role in ensuring no child goes without this Christmas.”
