Fine dining restaurant Lerpwl, located at the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool, is offering a six-course seafood tasting menu for Good Friday as part of its Easter offering. Tony McDonough reports
Liverpool waterfront fine dining restaurant Lerpwl is laying on a six-course seafood tasting menu to tie in with the tradition of not eating meat on Good Friday.
Chef owner, Ellis Barrie, has curated the menu which will cost £100 per person with £10 from each menu going to the Fishermen’s Mission charity. It provides emergency support and practical, financial, spiritual and emotional help for fishermen, active or retired, and their families.
Ellis and his team will also be making 100 handcrafted limited edition Easter eggs which will be on sale to the public from the Lerpwl online store. Inside the eggs will be a special treat for everyone, 10% off their food bill when they dine at Lerpwl on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
And one lucky winner will get a golden ticket, which they can exchange for a tasting menu for two people in the restaurant. On Easter Sunday things will look a little different to the usual Lerpwl Sunday offering. Instead of the signature sharing duck roast, the kitchen will be serving up traditional roast lamb with all the trimmings.
Anyone looking to book a table at Lerpwl this Easter can do so via the website or by calling the restaurant direct on 0151 909 6241.
