Liverpool Airport signs new Red and Blue partnerships
Liverpool John Lennon Airport signs new commercial partnerships with two online football fan media ventures – one representing Liverpool and the other focused on Everton. Tony McDonough reports

Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) has signed new partnerships with online football fan media ventures The Redmen TV and Toffee TV.
These agreements will see LJLA take up content and advertising opportunities with each one. The airport says it understands the importance of working with supporters from both the red and blue halves of the city region’s fan base.
Both based in Speke, close to LJLA, the channels service a fanbase in the North West and North Wales, plus other areas such as Ireland and Northern Ireland.
LJLA sees this as a great opportunity to raise awareness about the destinations served from the airport, as well as the range of flights to Liverpool from Ireland and Northern Ireland, and also across the continent.
Likewise, a presence here at the airport for both channels will be seen by thousands of passengers passing through the airport each day.
This latest news follows a number of other local sports and business links for the airport, including partnerships with St Helens RFC, The New Saints FC and the M&S Bank Arena.
Tom Woods, digital marketing executive at LJLA, said: “Both channels have a large and loyal following, some of whom will use LJLA already, and some we hope to see flying to and from the airport in the near future.
“Not only is it great to team up with two brands who represent a part of the city region’s DNA, but all three organisations are based here in Speke, with local businesses all helping to support each other, which is something we are big advocates of.”
