Liverpool Hoteliers Association (LHA) is teaming up with Liverpool Chamber to host a joint networking event at the city’s new Exhibition Centre.
Venue Expo aims to bring together various hoteliers and restaurateurs from across the North West on Wednesday, September 9 to give them the opportunity to connect and form diverse affiliations.
Throughout the afternoon, local businesses will be encouraged to collectively discuss methods and strategies, which aim to boost the visitor economy while maintaining Liverpool’s reputation as a leading UK tourist destination.
Chairman of Liverpool Hoteliers Association and general manager at Malmaison Liverpool James Rush said:
“We are thrilled to have joined forces with Liverpool Chamber to host the first instalment of the Venue Expo Networking Session, which will enable the members of the city’s ever-growing visitor economy to meet and engage with one another. In order to continue establishing and building-on business connections, it is vital that we as a city unite and share our news, suggestions and development plans.
“Members of LHA often interact with each other and have seen many successes come to fruition as a result. With this is mind, the Liverpool Chamber event will hopefully allow many leisure and tourism businesses to reap the benefits of industry specific networking.”
Ran by hoteliers for hoteliers, Liverpool Hoteliers Association is a non-profit organisation that offers membership to hotels, serviced apartments and guesthouses across the area – aiming to champion the vibrant city of Liverpool.
James added:
“On the day, there’ll be lots of exciting things going on. There’ll be a business card draw to win dinner, bed and breakfast at the hotel of choice and even cocktail demonstrations and sampling.
“We are very much looking forward to hosting an event in Liverpool’s newest state of the art exhibition space, as it’s great to support fresh and upcoming venues. The overall aim of the session is to collectively work together to ensure that the city maintains its prominent stance as a destination of choice.”
Liverpool Chamber offers a membership service to local businesses, which actively promotes and celebrates businesses, enabling them to grow contact and customer bases. It also provides services and support, while representing business interests to key stakeholders.
Richard Daly, commercial manager at Liverpool Chamber, said:
“We are delighted to partner with Liverpool Hoteliers Association at the Venue Expo to promote Liverpool as a leading destination city.
“The visitor economy makes a significant contribution to local employment and regional development and it’s events like this which will help position Liverpool as the UK centre of tourism and hospitality. I strongly encourage businesses of all sizes to join us to discover what local hotel and conference venues have to offer.”
The Venue Expo Networking Session will take place on Wednesday, September 9 between 12.30pm and 2pm at the Network Area 3, Exhibition Centre.
