Liverpool law firm Catherine Higgins Law expand

A local law firm is celebrating strengthening their presence in Liverpool by opening a second branch in the city.

Catherine Higgins Law will now operate from both The Cotton Exchange and its new premises in Woolton. The firm has acquired the practice of Worrall Power Solicitors and have now expanded the organisation into the heart of Woolton village.

Geoff Worrall and his legal team will become part of Catherine Higgins Law. They will continue to specialise in conveyancing, wills, probate and powers of attorney. Additionally, the Woolton office will offer customers specialist expertise in all aspects of personal injury with a particular focus on asbestos claims.

Catherine Higgins Law, launched in 2008, is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The firm has been awarded with the Conveyancing Quality Scheme Accreditation by The Law Society for its expertise in this area of legal practice.

Catherine Higgins, managing director of Catherine Higgins Law, said:

“We have had our eyes set on expansion for quite some time now, and we’re grateful for the support we’ve received from Natwest Bank to facilitate our growth.

“I’ve been a Woolton resident since 1990, so I already have very strong ties with the area and within the community. I’m looking forward to bringing the firm’s legal expertise closer to home, providing a convenient alternative to our City Centre branch for those who live in the South Liverpool area.

“From bearing a Conveyancing Quality Scheme Accreditation, to being accredited practice recognised by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the firm’s repertoire of skills provides our clients the peace of mind that they deserve from the very beginning of their legal journey.

“Catherine Higgins Law will continue to maintain its clear, transparent approach to legal issues in both branches, helping families in the values-led manner that has earned us our solid reputation.”

Funding support to finance the second branch was delivered by NatWest, who recognised the validity of the Catherine Higgins Law business model.

Andrea Kelly, NatWest relationship director, said:

“We’re delighted to have helped to facilitate the firm’s expansion. Catherine Higgins Law is an admirable legal organisation with a well-grounded business development plan, and I have no doubts about the continuation of their success.”

The boutique law firm is a recognised national leader in asbestos-related illnesses, but also has over 25 years of expertise in other areas across the legal spectrum.

Catherine Higgins Law recently made national headlines after settling a landmark case against the petroleum giant, Shell. The case involved a transgression of health and safety guidelines for oil rig workers.
