LMH gets £4.2 million contract with Chester Council and Cheshire West

Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) have secured a five year contract for £4.2 million with Cheshire West and Chester Council.

LMH have been contracted to manage the new “Home Assistance Hub” for residents. LMH already operate 15,000 homes, along with its repairs and maintenance company HMS, and will now deliver a wide range of home improvement services for residents in Chester and Cheshire West.

LMH will provide and mange disabled facilities grants, minor work adaptations, basic repair services and home loans for owner occupiers.

Director of landlord services at LMH, Angela Forshaw, said:

“Home assistance is a crucial area of work and we will bring previously fragmented services together into a unified and easy to understand system for residents.

“For example, the disabled facilities grant service will see us manage the whole process from means testing individuals and processing their applications to appointing HMS to deliver the work.

“Residents will have one point of contact and a high level of service that is easy to understand and follow.”
