Set to take place between 1-3pm on Wednesday, February 22 and Thursday, February 23, the afternoons will consist of arts, crafts, games and storytelling.

Sefton Park Palm House is set to be transformed into a ‘land of make-believe’ this Half Term as part of a duo of craft afternoons with Livlamode.

The first instalment will revolve around children’s story The Gruffalo.

The following day will be inspired by the children’s book Going on a Bear Hunt, whereby little-ones will complete the journey with a series of themed activities in search of a bear.

Senior Events Manager at Sefton Park Palm House Laura McCarten said: “Having joined forces with the wonderful children’s craft party specialists Livlamode, we are excited to bring the stories to life and allow youngsters’ imagination and creativity run wild.

Following on from the Half Term fun will be the Flourish at Fifteen commemorative event in the form of a Sing-a-Long afternoon on Tuesday, February 28.

Suitable for everyone of all ages, the musical marvel will take place between 2-4pm and will combine an audio assemble ranging from golden-oldies to current chart toppers.

Laura added: “This year we have really upped our game when it comes to delivering an eclectic events calendar that provides entertainment for all members of the family. Having reached the grand age of fifteen in September 2016, our novel Flourish at Fifteen events schedule will continue to run up until early Autumn. By introducing a series of engaging initiatives and fun-filled days out, we hope to welcome many more new and familiar faces through our doors.

“In line with our ongoing developments to make each visit a highly memorable and enjoyable experience, we are currently taking visitors’ feedback and suggestions on board. With that in mind, we have now introduced on-site contactless card machines with no minimum spend so that people don’t have to miss a minute of the entertainment in search of the nearest cash point.”

Gruffalo’s Craft Party will take place on Wednesday, February 22 and Going on a Bear Hunt Craft Party on Thursday, February 23. Both will take place between 1-3pm. Tickets are priced at £5 per child and are available from www.wegottickets.com. Suitable for children aged 3-9 although all ages are welcome. Free entry for adults.

Flourish at Fifteen: Sing-a-Long will take place on Tuesday, February 28 between 2-4pm. Admission is available on the door and is priced at £6 (free entry for carers) and includes a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
