Sunflowers to host Community Christmas Fayre
Merseyside cancer support charity, Liverpool Sunflowers is hosting a community Christmas Fayre to help raise funds to support for local people living with cancer.
The event will take place on Saturday 13 December between 11am – 3.30pm at the Sunflowers Centre on Aigburth Road.
The event is free to attend, and the charity is invited anyone from the local community to come along and enjoy some festive fun.
As part of the event there will a Santa’s Grotto for the kids, chestnut roasting in the Sunflowers garden, a mulled wine station, and mince pies.
There will also be a wide range of festive craft stalls to browse around, selling handmade Christmas cards, jewelry, festive cakes, art prints, the Sunflowers Calendar 2015, and much more.
Chief Executive for Liverpool Sunflowers, Joan Elmer said:
“The Sunflowers Christmas Fayre will offer lots of festive fun and cheer for all ages, and we want to invite everyone from the local community to drop in and enjoy it with us.
“It’ll also be a great opportunity to pick up any last minute Christmas gifts or stocking fillers, and since all of the proceeds will be invested back into Liverpool Sunflowers, you’ll also be support a great cause this Christmas time.”
Liverpool Sunflowers offer a wide range of free and professional support for anyone from Merseyside affected by cancer including advice and guidance, counseling services, alternative therapies, and group support sessions delivered in a welcoming and non-judgmental environment.
The Liverpool Sunflowers Centre is based at 21 Aigburth, Rd Liverpool, Merseyside L17 4JR and is open to anyone living in Merseyside who has received a cancer diagnosis, and their family or supporters.
