The Brink crowned Bar of the Year at city tourism awards
The Brink has been crowned Bar of the Year at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2015.
After continuing to impress the North West with its innovative non-alcoholic beverages, the popular Parr Street social enterprise beat off stiff competition from across Liverpool as a result of its ‘dry-bar uniqueness and revolutionary approach’.
Together with some of the city’s most reputable tourism businesses, The Brink attended a glittering awards ceremony held at St George’s Hall, whereby they alongside 19 other finalists were recognised for their efforts in delivering visitor economy excellence.
General Manager Carl Bell said:
“The team and I are immensely proud to have been presented with such as prominent award. As Action of Addiction’s flagship social enterprise The Brink provides a social hub for everyone of all ages including music lovers, students and members of the general public alike.
“In line with our dry-bar ethos, we serve over 130 mocktails, fresh presses and quirky beverages, all of which have become increasingly popular with our guests. While there are so many brilliant bars across the city, it gives us the feel good factor in knowing that it is because of our diverse array of unique drinks which makes us stand out from the crowd.”
In addition to providing a varied selection of non-alcoholic beverages, The Brink serves a wide range of locally-sourced dishes that combine classic tastes with a contemporary twist. The venue also showcases an assortment of monthly and exclusive events including open mic nights, guitar lessons, fashion fairs, tea tastings, comedy and much more.
Carl added:
“The award goes to show that alcohol doesn’t need to be the main focus of bars – it’s more about the innovative offerings, great service and most importantly the welcoming and upbeat atmosphere.”
