St Helens Chamber is seeking a contractor for a second floor refurbishment

St Helens Chamber is seeking a contractor for the refurbishment of the second floor of its headquarters in Salisbury Street.

Local businesses are being invited to tender for the contract to transform its existing second floor office space, which currently houses chamber staff. The chamber is also looking to create office space to rent out.

Chief executive Tracy Mawson said: “We’re really looking forward to transforming the office space within the chamber, and making the most of the space on the second floor. We’re looking for a local contractor to help us achieve this vision.

“Hybrid working has changed how we operate as a business, and so we’ve worked closely with chamber colleagues to design a space that works for them and allows us to work more collaboratively for the benefit of our customers and stakeholders.

“Alongside creating a more modern and usable space for our staff, we’re excited to be developing a brand new office space available for a tenant who wants to set down roots in the centre of St Helens.”

The new office space development will be 2,687.5 sq ft and priced at £13.50 per sq ft – with rates, service charge and utilities not inclusive.

Trace added: “This rental opportunity is perfect for growing businesses, and by choosing this unit they will be based in a hub of the business community, and will be able to benefit from the amazing facilities we have to offer.”

The chamber building also offers a variety of fully-equipped rooms for any type of meeting or event. They seat from four people to conference rooms holding up to 90.

“Alongside our meeting rooms, Wi-Fi, allocated parking, central location and more  – we also have business support services based here in the Chamber, alongside recruitment support services,” said Tracy.

St Helens Chamber is now looking to appoint a contractor to turn the plans into a reality, and a tender is currently open for local contractors to take on the project.
