Mersey digital agency Maxweb has broken through the £500,000 turnover barrier as it celebrates its 10th year in business.

The Birkenhead firm houses a team of designers, coders and digital marketing experts and saw revenues soar 79% between 2013 and 2016.

It has just invested £20,000 refurbishing its office and has undergone a rebranding with a new website and has seen it client base grow by 20% over the past year.

Maxweb was founded by owners Mark Ainsworth and Liam Bailey in 2006 and has worked on a range of campaigns for clients including Unison, Halewood Wines & Spirits, Glassrooms and Teledyne CML Composites.

Mr Ainsworth said: “With the current business environment so expansive, it’s more important than ever to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to the latest technologies, both for ourselves and for the clients we serve.

“From websites to online systems to mobile apps, technology is certainly an intrinsic and invaluable addition to any company whether it is implemented to cut cost, save time or increase productivity.

Year-on year since our establishment, we have welcomed continuous increase in turnover, with Maxweb welcoming a six-figure sum of work across a wide variety of sectors in the past 12 months alone.

“Thanks to the introduction of a number of new services to add to our remit and ongoing company expansion, we have welcomed three members of staff since 2017 began and have undertaken office refurbishment.”
