Liverpool’s Eddie Kitly to join other top chefs at London watercress event

Liverpool chef Eddie Kitly is to join forces with a roster of other top chefs to take part in an interactive dining event in Liverpool.

Eddie, freelance chef and owner of private dining and pop up business Kilty & Co, will participate in London Kitchen Social LIVE on Monday, March 25, to promote the “wonders of watercress”.

Being held at Grace Hall, the event will see six acclaimed chefs create an eight-course dinner for guests starting with a canapé reception with a welcome cocktail (designed especially for the event by Camm & Hoopers’ Patrick Hobbs) and finishing with bespoke chocolates by chocolatier David Frear.

Eddie will join fellow chefs Louisa Ellis, Daniel Britten, Robbie Lorraine, Hari Ghotra and Chris Wheeler who will be showcasing the great flavour and versatility of watercress, with this nutritious leafy vegetable being the critical ingredient in every course.

Born and raised in Liverpool, Eddie has worked in a diverse range of kitchens including a Head Chef role at two AA and 4-star hotel The Inn on the Lake Hotel in Gelnridding, and through his freelance business has worked for chefs including Andrew Pern at one Michelin Star The Star Inn Harome and Emily Watkins at The Kingham Plough Cotswolds.

Kilty and Co will start a new set of pop-ups begin in Liverpool in March and April. 

The event will be compared by London Kitchen Social founder Majella O’Connell, who said: “I am delighted to be hosting this crossover event and not only to be working with such talented and passionate chefs but also to be affiliated with great produce and help promote the virtues of this wonderfully versatile ingredient.”
