Hampson Hughes launch financial mis-selling department

Hampson Hughes Solicitors is pleased to announce the appointment of industry expert Shirley Shacklady as head of its new financial mis-selling department. Shirley is leading a team offering financial redress on a range of mis-sold products, from PPI to wrongly-advised debt consolidation plans.

Shirley is an authority in the sector and brings with her over 14 years’ experience in helping people all around the world. Shirley has been nothing short of a pioneer in the field, tackling cases of mis-sold financial products before the issue became a global scandal.

Among her many achievements is the first ever redress of PPI on a credit card and the first ever redress of a mis-sold mortgage. Shirley has spearheaded the establishment of dedicated mis-selling departments for over 10 companies and so was the ideal choice to build the new department.

On the launch of the new service, Shirley said:

“The PPI mis-selling scandal is bigger than all industry experts predicted. Of over £22.2bn set aside by banks for PPI alone, only £11.5bn has been paid out in redress so far – the end is not nearly in sight. Our aim at Hampson Hughes Solicitors is to right financial wrongs and we will strive to deliver the best customer service and to provide the right advice to all of our clients.”

Paul Hampson, joint managing director at Hampson Hughes Solicitors, said:

“We’re incredibly excited to launch this new service area which represents further growth for Hampson Hughes Solicitors. Mis-sold financial products continue to dominate the headlines with millions of people affected. We’re therefore delighted to have Shirley on board to spearhead this new department.”
