Mando Group and Robinsons Brewery create new experiences for pubs, stockists and drinkers

Mando Group and Robinsons Brewery have implemented a new digital platform for the Stockport-based brewer (www.robinsonsbrewery.com).

The “mobile-first” website represents a huge change for the company and includes some revolutionary new features for the brewery sector.

This new site represents a marked change in the way that Robinsons promotes its many offerings.

Robinsons are one of the first breweries to invest in the experience management tool Sitecore, allowing them to personalise the website experience depending on the viewer’s browsing history and preferences. They are able to track visitors across multiple channels including mobile, tablet, desktop, e-mail, and social media, allowing them to control audience experiences in the most relevant, timely and engaging way.

The website simplifies complex customer journeys for each of their diverse audiences, bringing together previously separate portals, including those for existing and prospective licensees, retailers looking to stock the beers, and visitors to both the brewer’s Visitor Centre and its pubs.

The new website is also a huge benefit to each of Robinsons 300 pubs, boasting a new pub website for each, which integrates with social media, where individual publicans can promote their own events and generate additional footfall.

Mando is now forming a long-term working relationship with Robinsons, beginning a support and maintenance contract to service and optimise the new digital platform.

Speaking about the project, David Bremner, director of marketing at Robinsons said:

“2015 has been the busiest year in a long time for Robinsons. The new brew house was completed 2 years ago as most people know, but the next phase was to get our branding identity right. This meant a corporate rebrand and re-launch of our core beers including the introduction of Wizard in the spring. The logical next step was to brew a new look for our website.”

Heading up the digital project for Robinsons, Daniella Martin, communications manager for Robinsons Brewery, explains:

“This new digital platform is a major investment for Robinsons and yet another sign of our commitment to the future. In addition to providing greater online visibility and driving business for Robinsons, we hope it will in turn increase footfall and revenue for our 300 pubs across the North West. Whether you’re interested in running a Robinsons pub, stocking our award winning beers or buying them online, taking a brewery tour, finding out about our contract brewing and packaging services, or keeping up-to-date with the activities of our pubs, you can easily find what you’re looking for via our new website.”

“Mando have been a breath of fresh air. We are delighted with the design and functionality of the website, so we hope our customers like it too.”

Ian Finch, managing director at Mando said:

“We’re really excited that the full Robinsons website has now gone live. We’re incredibly proud of the platform that we’ve created in partnership with Robinsons. It will revolutionise their business in so many ways and we’re proud to have been, and continue to be, a part of that in the future.”

“And to top it all off, they’ve also been a very fun bunch of people to work with and we’ve obviously appreciated the regular beer deliveries for our Mando Timesheet Fridge!”
